Assigning a Transmitter to Pre-programmed (Limits Established) Shades
Shades that are programmed (limits set) at the factory, ARE NOT assigned to a transmitter. Before initiating assignment, battery wand/tube should be disconnected then reconnected to motor/shade. User/installer should perform the following:
A. Select the intended channel (on the Telis 4 or Decora 4). To initiate programming press and hold both the Up and Down buttons at the same time until the shade jogs.
B. Press and hold the Program Button on the back of the transmitter until the shade jogs (gives a short Up and Down movement), let go immediately. Shade is now assigned to the control and once operational will travel to its end limits.
Setting an Intermediate Position
Press the UP or DOWN directional button on the previously addressed transmitter until the shade reaches a desired intermediate position, then press the MY / Stop button to stop. Once shade is at desired intermediate position then press and hold the MY / Stop button until the shade jogs.
To Adjust Limits
To change the lower limit: Move the shade to its current lower limit position and let it stop. Press the UP and DOWN buttons at the same time until the shade jogs, then release. Adjust to a new lower limit position. Press the MY / Stop button until the shade jogs, then release. Check new limit.
To change the upper limit: Move the shade to its current upper limit position and let it stop. Press the UP and DOWN buttons at the same time until the shade jogs, then release. Adjust to a new upper limit position. Press the MY / Stop button until the shade jogs, then release. Check new limit.
To Add a Remote Channel
First press the programming button on the back of the already programmed remote until the shade jogs. Then press the programming button on the new remote or channel that you would like to add until the shade jogs. Check it.
To Delete a Remote Channel
First press and hold the programming button on the previously assigned transmitter until the shade jogs. Then select the desired channel (1-4 or all) on the single channel transmitter to be deleted. Press and hold the Program Button on the transmitter until the shade jogs.
To Reset the Motor
For roller type shades insert paperclip into the recessed Program Button on the motor (Diagram A). For cellular/pleated shades insert programming reset tool into connector on motor (Diagram B). To delete all transmitters, press and hold the Program Button until LED lights begin to flash on and off (approximately 5 seconds), release button and motor will jog. All transmitters are deleted but the limits remain in memory. To delete all previous settings press and hold the Program Button located on the reset tool or motor (approximately 12 seconds) until LED blinks rapidly then extinguishes. Motor is now reset to factory mode and motor limits will need to be reset.
