Trick or Window TREATments 🎃

All Next Day Blinds products are custom built specifically for each individual window. But, did you know not all custom window treatments are created equal?

Finding the right window treatments can be as frustrating as finding the right chair in a home built for three bears – this one’s too big, this one’s too small, but Next Day Blinds is always just right. This is because our blinds, shades and shutters are custom built specifically for each individual window. But, did you know not all custom window treatments are created equal?

Don’t Get Tricked by Cut Down Blinds

It’s important to keep an eye out for cut down blinds and shades that are being called custom window treatments. These are stock window treatments, trimmed to the dimensions you need and with any extra slats removed. While this may seem convenient, and it is certainly better than those one-size-fits-all treatments, it is not quite the same as a truly custom treatment. There are a couple issues: 1) The ladder that holds the slats together will not be uniform. 2) There is no consistency from unit to unit.

Treat Your Home to Something Truly Custom

Here at Next Day Blinds, our custom blinds and shades are just that: custom. These window treatments are made specifically for each window. The ladder will always be six inches from the blind’s edge and you will never have to worry about extra slats, which create a bunching effect. This is because “our custom window coverings are custom for width and height, but we also give consideration to the depth of the window, the type of millwork, and the projection of the sill,” says Steve Freishtat, CEO and Founder of Next Day Blinds. And, we make all of our products ourselves at our state-of-the-art 120,000 square foot manufacturing facility facility in Jessup, Maryland.

"You get a custom-built product, made locally, and custom-tailored to your windows."
— Frank Sisto, VP of Operations at Next Day Blinds

As we manufacture each of your window coverings, we make many small adjustments to best suit its specific placement on your casement. This custom-tailoring approach ensures a perfect fit and optimum performance.

“It doesn’t matter if you buy your window treatments in store, online, or in your own home, all of our products are made one at a time, to your specifications in our factory,” says Sisto. “There is nothing pre-made [or] made in advance that gets cut down.”
